From Las Vegas to Panguitch

FASTEST ROUTE:

North on Interstate 15 about 3 hours to Exit 95 - Hwy. 20.  You will pass through St. George and Cedar City, Utah.  Exit 95 is 30 minutes north of Cedar City.

Right (east) on Hwy. 20 to its end at Hwy. 89.

Right (south) on Hwy. 89 and go 10 miles into Panguitch.

Look for the Phillips 66 gas station on your right at 200 North.

Turn right and take the first left, 100 West, and you will see us on the right with parking in front.

The trip will take you about 3 1/2 hours in actual time but there is a time zone change so it will be 4 1/2 hours on the clock.

SCENIC ROUTE:

Interstate 15 north 2 1/2 hours to Cedar City, Utah.  Take Exit 57 and follow the signs for Hwy. 14.  This will take you up through Cedar Canyon and to Hwy. 148 where you will make a left.

Hwy. 148 goes through Cedar Breaks National Monument and connects with Hwy. 143, turn right.

Hwy. 143 winds through alpine meadows and aspen forests before dropping down to Panguitch Lake and then 18 miles after the lake, into the town of Panguitch.  It becomes our Main St.

Stay on Main St. to 200 North and turn left at the Phillips 66 gas station.

Turn left again on the first street, 100 West, and we are on the right with parking in front.

This trip will take you about 4 hours in actual time but there is a time zone change so it will be 5 hours on the clock.

(NOTE: Hwy. 148 is closed due to snow from about end of November until about mid-May or first of June.  As an alternate you can take Hwy. 14 all the way over to Hwy. 89 and north into Pangutich, still VERY scenic.)

SUPER SCENIC ROUTE THROUGH ZION NATL. PARK:

Take Interstate 15 north through St. George, Utah, and exit on Hwy. 9.

Follow Hwy. 9 through Zion Natl. Park and exit out the other side of the park, still on Hwy. 9, and connect with Hwy. 89.

(You will have to pay a $25 entrance fee at Zion, or use a pass)

Take Hwy. 89 north to Panguitch, about an hour.

At the 4-way stop in the middle of town, turn right, go 2 blocks and turn left at the Phillips 66 gas station on the corner of 200 North and Main St.

Turn left on the first street, 100 West, and we are on the right with parking in front.

This trip could take anywhere from 5 hours to all day, depending on how much time you spend in Zion.  There is a time zone change when you enter Utah so you will lose one hour.
